(Matthew 6:34) NIV "Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Jesus teaches us not to worry but if he is taking care of all the birds of the air, that he will absolutely take care of us as we are more important to him than the birds! So, when you are feeling alone down my friend, know this God is right there with you. It is God’s gift of grace that he gives us enough for one day. So many of us take on too many things in life and we then feel the anxiety and worry kick in for the future. Just be reminded God wants you to have peace, joy and happy filled lives. Having trouble in your marriage or other relationships such as friendships, work relationships with co-workers or a boss? The hard part is this we must do our part in this and maybe look at the facts of the matter are we compromising our values to please these people in our lives? Are we letting go of the “power of choice?” What type of commitments are you making in these relationships that could possibly be hurting you? And “WHO” is it or “WHAT” situation is it that is making you feel powerless? These types of things can make us feel anxious for tomorrow. You see my friend there is no liberation in your life without healthy boundaries. There are good things about people pleasing but it crosses the line from good to bad when it affects the way we are living our lives in a unhealthy and unsustainable way. If this is you right now, I challenge you this week to sit down and write down these “people” “relationships” where you feel you are giving your power away to. Then ask yourself am I losing my peace and joy for life because of this? meantime, remember what you value, what you have to say and what you are able to do and value that. Your time, your families time and take good care of you!

Do you ever feel like you’re constantly saying, “I’m having a bad day or week?” You see what is wrong with this thought? We tend to let our feelings, and your circumstances control the quality of our lives. How do you get past not focusing on the negatives in life? You see I used to allow ALL my circumstances to affect my everyday life. How I acted to others and how I handled stress. When one day I had a friend say to me, “you don’t have to allow your circumstances rule your life.” I was frustrated with my situation so that meant I needed to express my frustration, right? Wrong. What I didn’t see and even realize was that I was losing my peace and joy in every thought and action that was a negative one. I was needing a huge attitude adjustment. I didn’t like the feeling of being frustrated more than being happy. What is it really that everyone wants? To be happy. Realizing others didn’t enjoy being around when I was like this, I knew I had to make some changes and agreed with my friend, but just how was I going to do this? Through talking with my friend, she explained she used to struggle with this as well. When money was tight, or she just simply had a day where the coffee spilled all over before she could even have a drink, or the answer to something she wanted wasn’t the answer she wanted to hear, finding out others are talking negative about you. All of these can be frustrating. We started to talk about what God wanted for our lives, he said in John 10:10 that “the enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy but he comes to give us life to the fullest. God doesn’t want us to struggle in everyday life he wants us to live it peacefully and joyfully! To enjoy just being alive every day and to help others in their lives. We live in a world where there is turmoil, and our enemy Satan wants us to struggle. I was not going to let him win! I wanted the best that God had for me. This is not to say that some days aren’t tougher than others. What had to change was my thinking, and my attitude. I needed to trust God was going to show me opportunity in every struggle and give me a better way thinking through it. I asked myself a few questions, was I living the best life God wanted for me? Are people in control of my happiness? Does getting mad when I spill the coffee or when things go wrong help my situation any? If you answered “NO” to any of these then it’s time for you to start enjoying your life, here are some great tips to start a new approach. Start each day out before you even got out of bed and reminded yourself of all the good that is happening right now in your life tell God of your gratefulness. When you want to throw in the towel, take a new approach and say to yourself “God is going to turn this into something wonderful and until I see it, I am going to trust him, have peace and find someone else to help,” to take your mind off your situation and be a blessing to someone else which takes your bad day and makes it a great one! God can turn your life around and help you to enjoy every day to its fullest. Be You Tiful! Hi friend, how's life going lately? Are you feeling good in your day to day living?
